A 64-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Delaware County, Oklahoma, on Saturday, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Authorities identified the driver as Kenneth Macken, who was traveling southbound on County Road S 510, just north of County Road E 570, when the incident occurred. For reasons that remain under investigation, Macken’s vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway.
Officials said the car struck a fence before continuing into a nearby field, where it eventually came to a controlled stop facing south. Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Macken was pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Two passengers were also inside the vehicle at the time of the accident. According to troopers, neither of them suffered any injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has not released further details about what may have caused the vehicle to leave the roadway. An investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Officials confirmed that Macken’s next of kin have been notified.
